Basic Warranty Coverage
Otherwise known as a ‘bumper-to-bumper warranty,’ the Basic Warranty Coverage component of your Chrysler warranty covers most parts of your vehicle that were installed prior to it leaving the factory. If any damage occurs due to a factory defect with these parts, your repairs will be covered at no additional charge. This coverage lasts for three years or 36,000 miles depending on which limit is reached first.
Powertrain Limited Warranty
While the previous component of your Chrysler’s warranty coverage is more of a catch-all designed to cover many different parts, the Powertrain Limited Warranty is specifically for the parts of your vehicle that help it move. This includes the transmission, any part of your engine, as well as other parts. If any of these critical components of your vehicle fail within five years or 60,000 miles after you purchase the vehicle, you’ll be covered for their repairs.
Anti-Corrosion Perforation Warranty
If the sheet metal panels of your vehicle suffer damage due to corrosion from the inside out, the Anti-Corrosion Perforation Warranty will have you covered. This will cover the costs of repairs for any of your vehicle’s panels to get them back in working order after corrosion damage takes place. Your outer panels will be covered for five years, while the other panels will be covered for three.
Emissions Warranty
There are many parts of your vehicle that are designed to help limit the harmful emissions your vehicle gives off in order to allow for more eco-friendly driving. The catalytic converter is the best known of these parts, but there are other parts covered by your Emissions Warranty. This warranty coverage is good for up to eight years or 80,000 miles of driving.
MOPAR Parts & Accessories Limited Warranty
Last on the list but just as important as other aspects of your coverage is the MOPAR Parts & Accessories Limited Warranty. This part of your warranty covers various parts, from your gasket to your battery, alongside many other components. The length of protection this warranty offers varies depending on the part in question.
