Choffey’s
Choffey’s is a cute little family-owned-and-operated coffee shop on West Winter Street. The simple decor and traditional furniture, along with the warm welcome, make you feel right at home. A tree-shaded patio out back enables you to enjoy your coffee al fresco. As well as coffee, Choffey’s offers hot chocolate, teas, and fruit smoothies.
To satisfy your appetite, try the New York-style bagels or homemade baked goods. You might find it hard to resist the variety of locally made chocolates on display from Marie’s Candies and the various flavors of Al’s gourmet popcorn. You can also buy bulk bags of loose-leaf teas and locally roasted coffee beans.
Fresh Start Cafe & Bakery
Located on North Sandusky Street, the Fresh Start Cafe & Bakery is a clean, bright, and welcoming coffee spot. Inside, there’s table-and-counter seating or you can grab one of the outside tables. It’s a great place to meet friends, hook up to the free Wi-Fi, or just watch the world go by.
The cafe offers a full range of coffees, hot and iced teas and espresso drinks, and hot chocolate. The bakery specializes in sweet and savory baked goods freshly made from scratch every morning. The coffee shop also has outdoor tables.
At the espresso bar, you’ll find coffees from Roosevelt and One Line. Choose from a selection of hot espressos, cold brews, and unusual iced drinks, such as the iced raspberry lavender mocha. Ciao Cafe, also located on North Sandusky Street, is an Italian-influenced cafe and gelato shop. This bright and cheerful place has tasteful artwork on the walls and a mixture of regular tables and low-level comfortable chairs. For an authentic experience, ask for your coffee the Italian way.
Along with the coffees, including the intriguingly named Killer Bean, you can get smoothies and milkshakes.
