2021 Ram 3500 | Performance Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Delaware in Delaware, OHMotortrend named the 2021 RAM 3500 #1 in the Heavy Duty Dually Truck category, and once you get to know one, it’s easy to see why. This truck offers wonderful ride quality, with or without a load on board, confident towing power, and excellent engine options in both diesel and gas.

The 3500 is the most capable pickup available for general consumer use, and the 2021 version builds on the complete redesign of this model that was done in 2019.

Design for the interior and exterior are excellent on all models, and there are even six front grilles to choose from. Inside, the truck has the feel of an office on wheels and is packed with useful tech features that will help you work more efficiently.

Engines and Power

Choose from a 6.4-liter V8 that offers 410 horsepower and 429 lb.-ft of torque or a 6.7-liter Cummins turbocharged diesel V8 with 370 horsepower and 850 lb.-ft of torque. Both are available as RWD or 4WD. There’s also a higher-output version of the diesel that’ll get you a jaw-dropping 1,000 lb.-ft of torque and shoot you from 0 to 60 in 8.8 seconds.
All engines deliver a smooth ride, even when the truck is laden down with cargo or a trailer. The maximum payload configuration can carry up to 7,680 pounds, while the minimum configuration can still handle 3,590 pounds. The top configuration for towing–the RWD Tradesman trim with the eight-foot bed and the high-output diesel–can drag around 35,100 pounds with ease. But even the smallest configuration can handle 15,990 pounds, which outclasses the competition in those trims.

Space and Cargo

Your cargo space and the interior room size will depend on which cab you choose. The regular cab has plenty of room for two and enough room to accommodate three for shorter drives. You get just shy of 41 inches of legroom; and if you opt for the mega or crew cabs, you get even more. In fact, the mega cab gets you an amazing 43.1 inches of legroom in the back!
Choose from a 6-foot, 4-inch or an 8-foot box on your RAM. The former will get your 57.5 cubic feet of storage volume. The latter gives you 74.7 cubic feet. Within the cabin, you’ll find thoughtfully designed storage spaces everywhere, so it’s easy to stay organized.

Tech

The entry-level trim has a 5-inch infotainment system, but the 8.4-inch system with Apple and Android compatibility is available for all trims and standard starting at the Laramie trim. Navigation is also available, and, if you would like, you can even go up to a full tablet-sized 12-inch display (which is standard on the top Limited trim).

The 2021 RAM 3500 has it all, and we love it. We’d love to show you why we think it’s great and why Motortrend rates it so highly. Come visit us at Performance Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Delaware to see it for yourself.
