The 2020 Jeep Wrangler comes in a wide range of trim levels and special editions — 11, to be exact. Each model is based on one of three main trims: the Sport, the Sahara, or the Rubicon. If you’re trying to decide which model best fits your style, here are a few of the most high-powered options.
-
Sport S
The 2020 Wrangler Sport S is one step above the entry-level model. It can be configured with a classic two-door body or as a four-door Unlimited model. It adds an air conditioning system, a remote key fob, heated power mirrors, and more to the Sport’s basic list of features.
The Sport S can be equipped with any of the Wrangler’s engines: the entry-level 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 that produces 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, the 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine that creates 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, or the available 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6 engine that cranks out 260 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque.
-
Black & Tan
The Black & Tan edition builds off the Sport S trim, with changes mainly to the technology features in the cabin. The Black & Tan adds Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility to its larger 7-inch touch screen as well as satellite radio. The exterior changes include the premium tan soft top, all-terrain tires, and side rails. True to its name, the Black & Tan features a black paint job and interior accents with tan upholstery.
-
Willys
The Wrangler Willys is another special edition of the Sport S. In addition to the list of features on the Sport S, it adds more off-roading gear to the Wrangler. It’s equipped with the LED lighting package and the Rubicon’s enhanced shocks and rock rails, and adds a black mesh grille to the front fascia.
-
Sahara
The Wrangler Sahara is only available as a four-door Unlimited model and is the best-equipped Wrangler for the city, though it does have some off-road gear options. It has access to the available premium navigation system, the Sky One-Touch power top, body-color fender flares, and a full-time four-wheel-drive system.
-
Rubicon
The Rubicon is the poster child of the Wrangler off-road experience. It comes with everything you need to take your Jeep off the beaten path: electronic front and rear locking differentials, the Rock-Trac 4:1 transfer case, 33-inch all-terrain tires under high-clearance fender flares, an electronic sway bar disconnect that improves rock crawling capabilities, and more. The Rubicon can be equipped with any of the 2020 Wrangler’s three engine options.
-
Rubicon Recon
The Wrangler Rubicon Recon is a special edition that adds to the off-road ruggedness of the standard Rubicon. This model adds a more rugged, blacked-out front fascia, standard LED headlights and taillights, 33-inch mud-terrain tires, and more. It comes standard with the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine.
