The NorthStar is a lovely course with a great layout with many unique challenges up and down the track. The fairways can be narrow at times, and you’ll be punished severely for wayward shots by the well-placed sand traps and water hazards. The fairways and greens are in excellent condition and the course plays host to a lot of local tournaments including the Ohio Public Golf Championships and the U.S. Amateur Qualifiers.
4. Mill Creek Golf Club
This friendly 18-hole public course is family-owned and has been serving the area for decades. The family takes great pride in the upkeep of the course and it’s always in impressive shape. You’ll feel warm and welcomed as you spend the afternoon in a serene setting with scenic views throughout. There are plenty of trees on the front 9, while the back 9 has more water hazards. You can’t beat the green fees at Mill Creek.
5. Rolling Meadows Golf Club
Rollings Meadows is an enjoyable track that all skill levels can enjoy without getting too frustrated or losing too many balls. The fairways and greens are always in decent shape, and you have the option to walk the course or take a cart. While not the most challenging course in the world, it’s great value for the money and an excellent way to spend time with friends and family on a nice Ohio day.
