This park offers six athletic fields so that you can enjoy a ball game. It’s the ideal place to relax or enjoy a picnic after a bike ride on the trail, with connections to other trail systems and a nearby visitor’s center.

2. Mingo Park

Mingo Park is a beautiful treasure that offers beautiful paths for hiking and walking. It’s a great spot to enjoy recreational activities with family and friends, with many indoor and outdoor facilities including a skating park, tennis courts, softball and baseball diamonds, and sports fields. It’s the perfect park to enjoy a picnic over the weekend or explore the area on a bicycle.
If you plan to visit Mingo Park for the day, there’s a convenient kayak and canoe launch, a swimming pool, and amenities. You may catch a glimpse of local wildlife, and there is plenty of gathering spaces for a family barbecue or party. It’s the ideal spot to escape from the city for an afternoon, or over the weekend!

3. Delaware State Park

This state park is ideal for nature enthusiasts, offering an impressive 1,300 acre-space that includes trails for cycling, hiking, birdwatching, and exploring local wildlife. Delaware State Park features open meadows and forested areas, a marina with boat launch ramps, disc golfing, and a campground. It’s the ideal place to spend the weekend with the family, with lots of secluded, quiet spaces for picnics, swimming, and relaxing.

4. Alum Creek Mountain Bike Trail Phase II Trailhead

You’ll find this trailhead is the perfect place for moderate hiking and cycling, with amazing views to capture on camera. Alum Creek Mountain Bike Trail offers fun challenges and a few climbs along the six-mile trail course. You’ll find great spots for fishing, picnics, and relaxing by the water. It’s also an idyllic place to bring the canoe or kayak if you’re looking to spend time on the lake.
