Commercial Trucks

Commercial trucks are very different from your average pickup truck model. They vary in their build and style, but most importantly, the performance. As your Delaware car dealer, Performance CJDR Delaware, we want to help you understand their differences. Our staff has years of professional experience and knowledge to help you narrow down the options to the one model you ultimately need. Like we said previously, the most critical difference to acknowledge is the performance. That includes towing and hauling capabilities, as well as gas mileage and more. To show you one of the most incredible and impressive commercial trucks available, let’s talk about the 2020 Ram 2500.

Ram Work Trucks

You can forget about the recent factory-built, off-road pickup trucks from other brands. The new addition to Ram’s biggest and baddest off-road trucks is the 2020 2500 model. These have been known as Power Wagons, and have always been the real deal. They are tough, trail-ready, and aren’t built to only get dirty. They are prepared to do the work for you. Like the first Jeep, the first Power Wagon from Ram dates back to the 1940s. It was originally created for military use since they needed power and off-road capabilities. It eventually returned for a short time in the disco era and then showed up again fifteen years ago. That is when it began to reign as the off-road king of heavy-duty work trucks for sale.

The newest three-quarter-ton Ram Power Wagon continues to defend its crown with off-road-specific underpinnings. This is a feature not found on other Ram models, not to mention other truck models in the same class. With taller springs and chunky 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires, you get an added two inches of ground clearance. If you do the math, that brings to a total of 14.2 inches! This is also a model that is said can go through 30.0 inches of water without damage! This could be one of the Ram work trucks that you seriously consider for professional use!

Inside of this impressive vehicle, the front and rear axles have an electronically locking differential and 4.10:1 gear. When you lock its differentials, there isn’t any terrain this pickup can’t handle! If you make a two-speed, four-wheel-drive transfer case with an added steep 2.64:1 low-range, you get a crawler! Those settings combined make an astute crawler that can make its way up steep grades with very little wheel spin. For even greater durability, these commercial trucks have rear axles that are beefed up with a larger 11.5-inch ring gear and thicker axles. Ram also decided to add an extra joint on the front suspension at the upper axle mount called an Articulink. When it’s in combination with the only electronically disconnecting anti-roll bar in the class, the Ram 2500 Power Wagon gets 26.0 inches of front wheel articulation. That is a number that rivals most of the competing rigs!
