Wine glass and bottle | Performance Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Delaware in Delaware, OHTake a trip down Delaware County’s Wine and Ale Trail, which invites wine and beer lovers to travel across the county from Powell to Delaware and stop at any of the 11 breweries and wineries to sample their creations. Here are four of our top recommendations!

Blend of Seven Winery

Enjoy a variety of wines, from dry whites to full-bodied reds, when you stop at Blend of Seven Winery. This family-owned and -operated winery in Delaware uses grapes from around the world to produce its unique wines. One of the fun things about visiting Blend of Seven Winery is the food menu  – the hosts can suggest food and wine pairings that enhance the flavors of both! You can even bring the little ones, as the winery is family-friendly and offers a kids’ menu.

Ill Mannered Brewing Co.

Head south about 10 miles to visit Ill Mannered Brewing Co. for outside dining and handcrafted beers. The beers are made in small batches of just 186 gallons at a time so the brewmasters can experiment with small-scale beer productions. If you want a light beverage, have an ILL Manna Slamma blonde ale; The Wheat, His Wheatness, Wheater, El Wheaterino ale; or a Risky Ending cream ale. When you’re ready for a heartier beer, enjoy a 2020 Subterfuge imperial stout, a Nice Vice breakfast stout, or the Big Donkey American porter.

Oak & Brazen Wine Co.

Oak & Brazen produces its wines right here in Delaware using grapes sourced from the cool Central California Coast as well as warm-weather grapes from California’s Central Valley. The winery also uses grapes grown in Washington’s famed Columbia Valley to craft wines that are sweet, dry, or robust.

This urban winery located on Winter Street offers a warm and welcoming wine tasting experience. While you sip your wine, the tasting room staff can recommend plates from the food menu that pair perfectly with your sampling. For example, enjoy a caprese harvest flatbread with a glass of pinot noir, a crumbled meatball flatbread with a glass of hearty cabernet sauvignon, or an iceberg wedge salad with an oaky chardonnay. For dessert, try the chocolate truffle plate with a sip of sweet dessert wine.

Old Dog Alehouse & Brewery

Stop by the Old Dog Alehouse & Brewery for tasty beers, specialty cocktails, and fine wines that go perfectly with the amazing food menu. Have an appetizer like the Fusion Nachos or the Hot Pimento Dip with a Rosa’s Haze IPA. Try a Louie’s PAw pale ale with a Caesar salad, fish and chips with a CCA #43 Cream Ale, or a Pope’s Pumpkin Imperial Ale with a classic cheeseburger. For something different, sample the tempura buffalo cauliflower tacos with a Snake Eater red ale!

A trip down Delaware County’s Wine and Ale Trail is fun and informative, and allows you to experience some of Ohio’s most beautiful scenery. Enjoy the journey and memories you make along the way!
